Aaron is getting excited about the baby! I think it has taken him a while to realize everything that is going on, but when he went with me to the ultrasound and he saw her moving around and everything, it all pretty much sank in. And ever since, he has been showing his excitement more and more. Today, he bought his first present for her. It is a little camoflauge onsie from Bass Pro Shops! He is so excited about it, and he has shown it to everybody. There is a camoflauge dress that is for bigger sizes that he wants to go back and get her once she gets a little older. I think it is so cute, and I'm really glad he is excited! Aaron and his dad got the screen door hung on the nursery today so that we can keep the cat out without having the barrier of a regular door. And we painted the letters for the wall and the shelf that we are hanging over the dresser/changing table. It is all really starting to come together. Unfortunately, Coal thinks that we are getting this room together for him. As soon as he steps into the room, he starts to purr really loud, and whenever he gets the chance he curls up in the crib for a snooze! I have a feeling he is going to be rather heartbroken when he finds out that it's actually for a baby, not for him. Oh well, he will get over it I am sure. That's all I have for now!

#15 from previous journal
Hi everyone!! It's been a while since I've updated. Here is all that has been going on since then...1st, we have decided on a new name for our baby girl. Instead of Erin Mariah, it is going to be Aeralyn Mariah. We decided that it would be too confusing later on to have her named Erin, and I love the name Aeralyn! It means "with song", so hopefully she will be able to sing!! Yesterday we took a trip to labor and delivery because I hadn't been feeling the little tatertot move...at all..for about 6 days. Well, of course, as soon as we got into the room and got strapped up to the heart monitor, she started doing gymnastics! She was kicking so hard that she was actually making the monitor jump on my belly! But we were relived to find out that everything was fine. Thank goodness! We are still working on the nursery a little at a time. It is all done except fot the little decorative touches. I am getting really excited about the baby showers coming up! The one in Warner Robins is going to be May 20th, and the one here is going to be the first weekend in June. I can't wait!! Aaron started his new job last Monday, and he is loving it! It is his dream job, and he is finally doing what he went to school for. He is a hunting guide at a hunting plantation in Bloomingdale (about 5 mins away from our house). He gets to meet alot of new people and he is outdoors all the time, so he is in hog heaven now! I'm really excited for him.I guess that is all for now. Hope everyone is doing well! Thanks to everyone who has signed the guest book!

#14 from previous journal
Well, baby Erin is half-baked today!! 20 weeks down, only 20 more to go!! We have been working on the nursery, and we finished it tonight!! It is painted, all of the furniture is put together, and I went ahead and put up the bedding just to see what it will look like. It is so pretty!!! I hope she loves it! I will post pics ASAP. Monday is the big appointment. I am going back to the Cancer Institute for my genetic blood test. They will draw the blood and send it to Philadelphia, then they will do the testing and the results will be back in 4-6 weeks. I will let everyone know as soon as I get the news. I'm sure everything is going to be just fine. We had a little bit of a crisis last night after we got done painting the nursery! Aaron put a paintbrush in the hallway bathroom to soak, and accidentally forgot he left the water running. Well, it flooded the bathrooom and hallway, and by the time I found it it was already seeping into the living room and the back 3 bedrooms! Thank goodness for Coal, our cat, because he was meowing at the top of his lungs in the hallway, and that is what made me go and see what was wrong. I turned off the water and ran into the kitchen to get Aaron from the backyard, but my feet were wet and they slipped right out from under me. I landed hard on my tailbone! I called the doctor and she said to take it easy and everything should be fine, but if I feel anything weird to go ahead and go to the ER. Everything has been fine, I'm just a little sore!! But the flood was cleaned up and all is well now. Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!
